K FAMILY PICNIC 2008
Thanks to everyone who participated!
The Sixth Annual K Family Picnic was held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Lake Tobesofkee's Sandy Beach Area and we had about 150 kids and club members attend! It was a great event and BIG THANKS go out to the following people:
John Blanks and Mike Leonard for grilling up a STORM (literally....). They did a great job cooking!
Walter Dean and his crew for doing all that he did to help out with the Aktion Club, getting the sound system and getting out the Aktion Club for a day of fun!
Our four activity site Kiwanians who made sure each activity ran very smoothly....Paul Boggs (Volleyball), Tom McEachern (Tug O' War), Jack Head (Kickball) and Guy Gunn (Dodge Ball) all did a fantastic job and the participants really had a great time!
Kroger at Pio Nono and Publix on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. for each contributing a $100 gift certificate for the food, which significantly reduced our overall cost.
Also, BIG THANKS to Mid Georgia Sales, courtesy of Mr. Dennis Hanson, who provided drinks for the event!
Also, BIG THANKS to the Kiwanians who provided the funds to purchase the Gift Certificates from Best Buy, Starbucks, Amstar Cinemas, and McDonald's as well as the board games and frisbees that we purchased. The kids LOVED the drawing and the opportunity to win one of these prizes. We gave out a total of 30 prizes in the drawing.
All the Faculty and Club Advisors for the Circle K Clubs, Key Clubs, and Aktion Club for doing such a wonderful job in getting such a large turnout and having well organized activities! Please pass this email along to your club members!
